My name is Apryl Mott, born in Weirton, WV and now living just outside New Orleans, LA!

I was trained in the art of tree sculpture by my grandmother and wire wrapped jewelry by my grandfather. Both had spent years on the road traveling to craft shows all over the US. I no longer make much jewelry because of how much success I have had with my wire trees! I do dabble now and then trying to find a line that will do well alongside my sculptures.

I started my business officially in 2004 and have come a long way since then. At first it was home parties followed by a little consignment and a few craft shows. I was fortunate enough to live near the West Point military base in NY and was able to set up there to sell my work. We moved to the New Orleans area in 2006 and since then my web business has taken off. I now sell entirely online thanks to etsy and my personal website!

Though my shop and website are mostly dedicated to custom made to order work I do create some one of a kind peices in my spare time. I love creating custom work for weddings and other special occasions. Its so neat to think that someone chose one of my trees to put on top of their cake on one of the most important days of their lives!

Cake Sprays Are Back!

Some of you had noticed the disappearance of the cake sprays from the website. While they had done well with good feedback I was not totally satisfied with the product over time. I decided to pull it for a redesign. The new cake sprays ship flat and I have provided a couple of instructional graphics on the sales page so that you can style the spray to your liking! This is a great option for the crafty bride and allows for a lot more of a personal style. It also opens up more possibilities for usage in bouquets, centerpieces, and other decor.

Lazy Helpers

I thought I would get a little help around here with all the crafting so I asked Hermes and Xena to come live with me. At first they were very enthusiastic, asking where everything was but after a few days I think they just lost interest!

Say hello to my two new furbabies! Xena is a lovely mostly grey torti and Hermes is the black handsome one! They may not help me work but they make me smile! It can get lonely working from home and they keep things interesting.

50th anniversary trees are super popular here this week! It means a lot that my work is chosen to help celebrate such a special occasion. I always enjoy seeing what birthstone combination will go on the trees. Above you can see a tree which was created in all aquamarine stones!
